Shree Ramkrishna Oil Mills uses ancient technique of extracting oils from various seeds and nuts in a wooden mortar and pestle know as ‘Wooden Ghani’.

Our mill is located in Pune, Maharashtra India, being one of the oldest and reputed oil mills and retail store Since 1949. The raw material used here is the best quality. We continuously thrive on supplying the best product to our end users.

What is ghani?

Ghani is the process of mechanically separating oil by only pressing and crushing the oil seeds in a wooden mortar and pestle.

Cold pressed oil concept was first invented by the Ancient Rishis of India to extract oil from various oil seeds by using a wooden churner (Ghani). In ancient times the wooden ‘ghani’s’ were driven by bullocks. In modern days the wooden ghani remains the same, but the bullocks are replaced by electric motor.

We at Ramkrishna Oil Mills do not use any heat or chemicals for the oil extraction process using Wooden Churner (Ghani). This ensures that the oil retains its natural nutrients, flavor, and aroma.
