Sweeten Gokulashtami With Poha Kheer

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/3 cup poha
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup jaggery powder
  • 1 tsp ghee few cashew nuts
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews, and roast until golden brown. Set aside.
  2. In the same pan, roast poha for 2 minutes.
  3. Add poha and 3 cups of milk to the pan.
  4. Cook for 10-12 minutes, until the milk reduces to 3% of its original quantity.
  5. Let it cool.
  6. Melt jaggery in a saucepan with 2 tbsp of water. Cool it down.
  7. Mix the cooled jaggery syrup with the milk mixture, add cardamom powder, and garnish with roasted cashews.
