Maharashtrian Kanda Poha

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups flattened rice
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 potato, peeled and diced
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp shree ramkrishna kardai oil
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Rinse poha & drain the water
  2. Heat Kardai Oil, add mustard, cumin, curry leaves
  3. Add onions, chilies, cook till soft 
  4. Add potatoes, peas, turmeric, salt. Cover & cook.
  5. Add poha, peanuts, mix gently.
  6. Cook for 2-3 mins.
  7. Garnish with coriander.
